YES! Cloves make a wonderful addition to Chai (spiced) tea. Everyone seems to have their own recipe for Chai, but I typically will put a couple of cups of water in a pot on the stove, then simmer the chives with cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, a large piece of good fresh ginger, a scant few black peppercorns, and sometimes a bay leaf and a few cumin seeds. After about 20 minutes at a slow and low simmer, add some loose tea leaves until the right color is made, then add some lovely half-and-half and some sugar, bring the heat up again and, when done, pour the tea through a sieve into a teapot and serve!
